Neflaria: Shattered Tranquility

As the third age comes to a close, an enormous wave of earthquakes ripples through the land. Mountains are formed, rivers change their paths and the races tremble in its devastating wake. When the shaking finally stops and the aftershocks still, Neflarians emerge to find that the quakes had left behind more than a wake of death and destruction.

Behold, an ominous temple has risen in the wilderness! Its ruined exterior belies the immense riches within its overgrown walls. It is a nest of evil that has been uncovered by the quake after centuries of burial. But be warned, the Ruined Temple is not for the weak. Many brave adventurers have ventured down into the temple since its reappearance, and their tortured screams can be heard echoing from the temple’s depth. The forces of good will be well rewarded for cleaning out this insidious bastion of evil once and for all. But being righteous in one’s cause is never enough; one must also be tempered with strength and wisdom.

For years, strange tales among the tribes on the plains, passed down from father to son, from tribe elders to the young hunters, told of a hidden city. The accuracy of their tales had never been verified until the days after the massive quakes. A tremendous city slowly appears to the eyes of the world as the magical veil covering it disippates. The city of Tadaria has long been hidden from the world; its inhabitants sought to grow peacefully without interference. Onlookers of the city would be dazzled by the golden spires or the richly decorated buildings, but most of all they would be awed at how such a large city has been hidden from view for centuries. Tales of wealth invariably brings greed and the forces of evil descending en masse upon Tadaria’s fair walls. However, only the most powerful of these would make it pass the Tadaria Causeway. For being bad is not enough, one must also be backed by dexterity and intelligence.

Updates

Welcome to the new expansion, Shattered Tranquility! Players will be able to extend their adventures to two new and massive areas in the world of Neflaria. The Ruined Temple will be the destination of righteous players seeking to cleanse its walls of evil while looting its riches. Meanwhile, the city of Tadaria will be a target for players aligned with evil to ravage and plunder. Each of these new zones contain several levels that are sure to keep players fighting far longer than ever before.

Players are now able to promote their starting races (Giant, Troll, Human, Elf, Dark Elf, Angel, Gargoyle, Dwarf and Goblin) with the new rank system. As your character grows, you will be recognized by your race’s governing authority and they will bestow upon you titles fitting of your statures. You will be able to train and master your gear better with each rank, and additionally increase your stats even higher every level.

New Features

  • Mapped and designed 2 new massive dungeons combining for a total of 14 new zones to explore: Ruined Temple and the hidden city at the Tadaria Causeway
  • The Tadaria Causeway is located at 7,22 in the Wilderness
  • The Ruined Temple can be found at 21,15 in the Wilderness
  • Added 7 new ranks to enhance your races: at various level milestones, upgrade your rank at your race’s starting zone for extra stat boosts and mastery caps
  • Given voices to Special monsters, so they now shout things at you during fights
  • Overhauled Quests; now with storylines to hunt down a nefarious beast (over 1.8 million unique quest combinations!)
  • Added a new mystery equipment slot
  • Renamed IC 45 up to IC 56 weapons, armors and spells
  • Changed temples; maxed masteries plus a sacrifice no longer results in 100% chance of a level
  • Temple updates: less chance for a random level, and a new chance for random credits
  • A bunch of bugfixes
